Our Story
Larry Morris started Morris Timber Company, Inc. in 1982 with one logging crew, a strong work ethic, and a dream. Nearly 40 years later, our company has expanded to operate in 23 counties in East Texas with 15 logging crews.
One might say our roots run deep. In 2004, Larry’s son, Matt Morris, took over the ownership and leadership of the company and renamed it Morris Timber Holdings, Inc. Our legacy continues as a second generation timber company, providing professional timber harvesting and forestry services to clients throughout East Texas and Western Louisiana.
We have highly qualified staff, many of whom have a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, are certified by Pro Logger, and have decades of field experience. Our logging crews harvest about three-quarters of a million tons of timber each year. We have the expertise to handle any project you have no matter the size or scope.
